|
What is Aspect Ratio?
Aspect ratio is the ratio of height to width of a projected frame or screen. The two most common aspect ratios are 4:3 and 16:9. A standard television screen is 4:3 format, which means the width of the screen is 4/3 or 1.33 times longer than the height. 16:9 is most commonly referred to as widescreen its aspect ration is 16/9 or 1.66 times longer than the height. If you know the aspect ratio you are using you can determine the how big the image you are projecting will be. |
